Being someone who always seems to have one eye on the door of whichever country i'm in, I can't help but be interested in tips for how to break down barriers to moving and instigate a move abroad. Now to learn German... Via @mattb.
From the Campaign Monitor blog, a look at some of the CSS3 techniques Panic used in their mailshot for the release of Transmit 4. Via @cameronmoll.
Another foodie to-do for Los Angeles courtesy of LA Weekly: Mac & Cheeza.
The latest trend in coffee shop brewing seems to be drip, a method i've been extolling the virtues of for years. This ceramic dripper which takes pure conical paper filters seems to be the drip device of the moment. At the price of a reasonable cafetière, it's very tempting, too.
LA Weekly celebrates the Los Angeles Mexican sandwich scene - another facet of Mexican cuisine which sadly, just like proper tacos al pastor, aguas frescas and clayudas, has yet to migrate too far north-east past SoCal and cross the Atlantic.
Yep @mrchrisaddison, history’s most boring ever committee name does kind of spoil the young, dynamic, breath-of-fresh-air politics schtick.

Eagerly awaiting being able to buy a few of these from Beverly Hsu. Via @MrMartineau at Rather Splendid.
Useful links courtesy of Rather Splendid. As a huge fan of the scotch egg, I found myself instantly drawn to this delicious sounding variant via @guardianfood. However, the real gem in this article is the creator, Ben Holden's pun-tastic "Open Sauce" search for a condiment to accompany his creation.
In amongst the hilarity of watching Gordon squirm & grovel it’s easy to lose sight of the fact that he was basically just telling the truth.
A rather unappetising but very tempting article on how to cook your meat in a beer cooler. Via @jkottke.

Photo-documentary series taken in and around London Fields, Hackney circa 1994 at a time when the area was called “a crime-ridden, derelict ghetto, a cancer – a blot on the landscape”. Times change. Via @itsnicethat.

Not usually a fan of this sort of microsite (esp in Flash) but kudos @K0K0KAKA, this is nicely done http://eu.wrangler.com/bluebell.
