HTML Email Boilerplate

I've got a lot of time for good, bare-bones boilerplates for getting projects started quickly. HTML5Boilerplate for example gives you just enough to save you time and give you a foundation without some of the OTT scaffolding some of the grid-based frameworks push at you. This HTML email boilerplate looks like it takes the approach of the former, so hopefully you can roll out the right type of horrid, old, tables-based code needed for the necessary evil of HTML emails. OK so iTunes Match is pretty impressive if only for the fact that Apple has persuaded the labels to gift you your pirated music for $24.99.

Soon cell carriers will just be data pipes & relegated to their rightful place alongside water, gas, elec utilities & solid waste collection

A Book Apart

Great video profiling the @ABookApart crew from @MailChimp. I’m looking forward to the launch of @beep’s Responsive Web Design this week.

Red Pop

Another grand-slam @kickstarter project. This time from @beephq. They managed to fund the entire first run of their beautiful button+app iPhone photo package in a crazily short amount of time. Deservedly so as the design is beautiful. I'm hoping that they build aggressively on the software side as well with instant upload, sharing, tweeting etc built in.
